Objective

  • To gain practical knowledge in the hotel industry and its different department.
  • To study the Food and Beverage Management Practices, Housekeeping & Facility Management and Front Office Operations and Accommodations, in relation to those applied in the various sections of this industry.
  • To develop the sense of aesthetics and creativity.
  • To understand the functions of the components of reservation, registration and accounting duties in detail.
  • To give the students exposure in the field of travel and tourism.

    • The third year students set up a mock restaurant with an innovative theme.
    • Students are sent for a training workshop to prominent 4 star and 5 star Hotels, like the Oberoi Hotel, Nariman Point.
    • A workshop is organized for the students in “Travel and Tourism Management” such as at the Garware Institute of Management, Mumbai University.
    • The third year students are taken on a field visit to several hotels and institutes to give them first hand exposure to the hotel industry.
    • The third year students go for a demonstration cum workshop on "Basic Makeup and Hair style" by Ms. Jyuthika Chitre, Co-cordinator, Department of Beauty Culture on 1st and 2nd of July’ 2014.
